CJS was founded by a navy command master chief computer complex manager-weapons system expert leading to an assignment as Senior Instructor, Naval Tactical Data Systems School Command, responsible for the daily administration, instruction and equipment maintenance of a school house with 110 instructors and an average student count of 600. He ended his career as the senior enlisted leader and mentor to thousands of Sailors still assigned to U. S. Navy warships. After retirement, C Jerome became Instructional Support Manager, Old Dominion University, where he manages and develops complex physics demonstrations and experiments for professors of physics and supervises 12 lab instructors teaching undergraduate courses.
In addition, he serves as technical manager of the universities' state of the art digital planetarium, installing and maintaining equipment as well as producing spectacular astronomy shows enjoyed by school children throughout Hampton Roads. Listed businesses are hand selected by C Jerome to provide the Hampton Roads community with top of the line products and services while providing training and employment to disadvantaged youth throughout the area. Member businesses are determined to make a difference in the lives of children by both formally and informally helping teachers and education professionals guide our children to graduation. After high school we mentor and guide our "new schoolers" to college or skill based employment through our outreach program, Baby Daddy Jobs.

In today's economic climate with job loss and an unclear future minorities must unite to secure their share of the American dream. Problems in the community must be addressed by the people living in the community, not the government. Hampton Roads Old School is a group of over 200 real life role models willing to help our young people succeed. Members owning businesses provide internships and business opportunities for minority youth and young adults willing to learn the world of business and develop the skills required to sell a legal product, vice an illegal one. Membership is free and all are welcome to join. Register today and meet other successful people not only in Hampton Roads but nationwide. We are not athletes or rappers, we are real life role models "lighting the way" for minority youth. Just join, listen and learn, we will show you the way. Old Schoolers are welcome to "create a crib" and invite youth from their church or community.
